Will Oldham, Kanye West & OiNK Invites
We are a bit slow in our first weekend.. brockmasterflex is moving all his shit from one side of Montreal to the other, and I’m just generally drained and hungover. But I have saved some energy for you folks (…if we actually have any readers yet)
I’m sure a lot of you know who Will Oldham is, but for those that don’t, he is a man of many aliases. These days he mainly goes by Bonnie “Prince” Billy. He has a voice filled with emotion and nuance and I would highly recommend to those unfamiliar and interested with him to pick up “I See A Darkness” and go from there. Here is a video of a cover song called “Same Love Made Me Laugh Made Me Cry”. It really showcases his beautiful voice and weird movements. Check it out here.
And for something very different, Zack Galifianakis & Will Oldham have teamed up and formed a great acting pair for Kanye West’s new video “You Can’t Tell Me Nothin’”. Check it out at Kanye’s site.
I’m sure many of you are aware of the great torrent site, oink.cd (Formerly oink.me.uk). Well, it’s an invite only tracker and I’ve been building up a few of them, so the first 5 people to post their email addresses in the comments will get them (and I’ll delete the posts immediately after).

I like Bonnie “Prince” Billy too but was very confused at the beginning because his name sounds like a girl. Bonnie. Hee, hee, that’s a girl’s name.

Hey. Just wondered if you had any oink invites still available. You like some pretty cool music btw. I checked out Los Campesinos on myspace and like what i heard. and i also see that you like explosions in the sky. I dont know if you’ve ever heard of them but 65daysofstatic are also an awesome post-rock band who are well worth listening to if you get the chance.
