They stood in front of us for the entire show at the back of the pit until the encore started. Never thought they would end up on stage. I recognized them right away, but no one around us seemed to even know who they were. We saw Arcade Fire open for U2 in Ottawa a couple of years ago and became instant fans. Aside from the musical brilliance of Arcade Fire and the respect Bruce showed--I can think of very few tributes as noteworthy as Bruce covering someone else's tune--I love the taper's (Ryan?) comments just as much. They make this clip even more memorable because I would have reacted the same way and said the same damn things. Definitely a night to remember and I appreciate the clip! Thank you for this video.
