What Will Become Of Us? Oblivion!

WintersleepSince releasing Welcome To The Night Sky last year, Halifax’s Wintersleep have been having a great year. This year they received a Juno for New Group Of The Year and MuchMusic Video Award for their single “Weighty Ghost”. Last Saturday Montreal got a treat of a free show with Wintersleep for Pop! Fringe. The set was mainly tracks from the new album and a and some new track s “Encyclopedia”, “Earlier In The Morning” and one which I haven’t heard the name of, all of which came off great live. Paul Murphy and crew put off a great set, albeit short, his only problem was tuning in between each song, but had no problem charming the crowd while doing it.

    Hey,

Great vids and a big thanks for posting this stuff as it’s hard to find decent live recordings of this incredible band. Also, I think there we 3 songs in this set that are new, Encyclopedia - Earlier in the Morning - “New Song?. I’ve been a big fan for years and havent heard these 3 songs before. Anyways, good stuff and thanks again!

Earlier in the Morning is a new track? I had no idea. Thanks for checking it out. If only I could find the name of that other new song.

    Hello,
Earlier In The Morning isn’t a song that they have on any of their CDs but they have been playing it live since I started seeing them in 2006. I HOPE they put it on a new CD because it is one of my favorite songs.

I don’t know the name of the “new song”, but I like it.

I like the new song too. They played it in Ottawa last night, I think they said it’s tentatively called “Baltic”.
