Carrying on the tradition of yin & yang band names (think She & Him or Young & Sexy), Brooklyn dance punk duo Matt & Kim launched their careers with the release of their self-titled debut on iheartcomix in October 2006. As they mention on their myspace, “Good Ol’ Fashion Nightmare” is the first thing they’ve released since they hit the road two years ago. You can download it here for free.

They kicked off their latest tour on Nov 3rd in Cambridge and are bringing their good feel catchy tunes to Montreal in a couple of days. Matt & Kim are playing at Il Motore this Thursday, October 6th. They’ll be joined by their Best Fwends.
