War Child’s Online Charity Auction, is the only place on the web where you can bid on amazing music memorabilia, tickets and experiences, while helping children in war zones. War Child will be announcing new auction items each week at 7pm on Edge 102.1’s Friday Night Live, broadcasting straight from The Sound Academy.War Child Canada is a registered charity which provides opportunities and long term solutions for war-affected children, focusing on education, strengthening children’s rights, reducing poverty and fostering self reliance. War Child Canada works in partnership with local people and organizations to build sustainable programming that empowers children and their communities.

Working closely with the music industry, War Child Canada provides awareness, support and action for children’s rights everywhere. Among other projects, War Child Canada supports a child soldier rehabilitation program in Sierra Leone, a school revitalization project in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a girls’ education initiative and child legal defense project in Uganda, and a women’s community support project in Afghanistan. It is one of the only child protection agencies still operating in south Iraq, and one of the very few continuing to work successfully in Darfur, Sudan. War Child Canada also focuses on engaging North American youth and emphasizing the importance of global responsibility.
