I missed Elliott Brood when they opened for O’Death earlier this month at La Sala Rossa, but the splendidness of their song Write It All Down For You should be heard by y’all.  This Toronto-based threesome are all over the radar with their rockabilly deathcountry banjo sound and raspy vocals, having been nominated for CBC3 Bucky Awards 2008 in the categories of Best Live Act and Sexiest Musician.  (The latter is clearly a necessary category, since sex appeal is directly proportional to musical talent. ) Elliott Brood have been busy touring in Europe, US, and Canada since the release of this year’s sophomore full-length Mountain Meadows on Six Shooter Records.
