148968bloom.jpgYou know that sweet, heartbreaking song in Before Sunrise?  Well, it’s called “Come Here” and is sung by folk-pop legend Kath Bloom.  Decades after Kath Bloom first enchanted listeners with her haunting voice in the seventies, a two-disc set Loving Takes This Course: A Tribute To The Songs of Kath Bloom is being released that features sixteen artists paying tribute to the celebrated folk singer. Disc one includes sixteen of Bloom’s originals, while disc two is a collection of sixteen modern-day artists such as Devendra Banhart, Josephine Foster, Bill Calahan, The Dodos, and Meg Baird (of Espers).   The artists do a great job of interpreting Bloom’s songs, keeping the original spirit of the song alive, while incorporating their own personal touches.

The album drops on April 7th.  You can find the entire tracklist here.
