Lets Go Visiting

While we respect their love for the sea and think their eye-patches and peg-legs are timeless accessories, quite frankly, we find their tendency to “plunder first and ask questions later” attitude to be quite childish.
So, to conclude: The Visitors - virtuous explorers, not filthy pirates.”
The Visitors are another one of the great wave of punk bands out of Ottawa. They play loud, fast Ramones style pop-punk about visiting places - really, what more does a person need?
Last years “LOST ON THE GLOBE” was one of the best albums to come out of Ottawa in 2008 and next week they are releasing their new 7″ TROPIC OF CANCER (House Party Records) at the Rock and Roll Pizza Party on Thursday May 21st. If free cover, punk music, and cheap tallboys weren’t a good enough reason to make your way to the Oak for the RRPP on a Thursday night, The Visitors just sweetened the deal. They have a new song posted to their myspace player, it rules, check it out.
