Teenbeat Takeover Presents: WOOLY WEEKEND August 6th-9th

Wooly Weekend Festival is a three-day celebration of rock and roll, film, fashion and the teen pop culture movement of the 1960’s; Featuring a myriad of international performers and feature film documentaries showcased over the course of the event. We have artists flying in from as far as the UK (London) and West Coast U.S.A. (California), as well as the Midwestern states and from all across Canada: from Calgary throughout Ontario!

In addition to the live music portion of our festivities, we will also be hosting several Canadian film premiers for newly produced feature-length productions. Documentaries such as “America’s Lost Band”, “Teen A-Go-Go” and “The Lost Souls”, take you back in time to rediscover the tremendous forgotten wealth of outstanding, obscure music recorded by hapless high school teen combos from all around the world!
During the afternoon of Saturday, August 8th, we will be hosting a day-long trade fair where vendors will offer tables topped with records, magazines, books, vintage clothing and articles of the past. During this daytime event, we will be coordinating several panel discussions and interviews hosted by noted music and film historians. We will also be presenting rare promotional film reel footage and video clips focusing on 1960’s music and fashion culture. Following the thrift fair and multimedia presentations, will be a concert performed by local and non-local artists, in the style of our weekend celebrating the years 1964 - 1967 (the “teen beat” generation).

I just happen to be in Montreal this week-end.
Planned for months - but had no idea it was the week-end
of the psych festival - SERIOUSLY. Now THAT’S cosmic.
I will be available for any and all serious interventions.
