Last year Tapes n Tapes played the Studio Juste Pour Rire for about 50 people. It was a horrible winters night and they had to compete with Habs vs. Bruins playoff hockey, but I was there and have the review to prove it. But I’m reliving this night for you because that was the night that I was first introduced to the greatness of White Denim who were the openers that chilly night. White Denim are a 3 piece hailing from Austin Texas and play a style thats a punk, funk and soul cocktail. Some might say that the genre mix is not a unique blend but its one that WD have honed, made their own and slay unsuspecting listeners with nightly.
