Wolf Parade with some robotThis time next week will usher in an entire weekend with @ . Hope everyone found some tickets. Wolf Parade are fresh off the Wolf Island Music Fest, and from what I’ve been reading their set contains oodles of new material. Since ryantheduke and I couldn’t make it to give you our opinions of the set, we can however bring their set to you. Thanks to a post on We’ll Believe In Anything(a Wolf Parade Facebook group), I found out that some great person uploaded the entire Wolf Parade set from Wolf Island. A big shout out to http://bootlog.wordpress.com/ for getting this bootleg.

NOTE: I found out the opening acts for next weekends shows

  • Aug 25 - HOLY FUCK + FRENCH FUCKING FROGS FROM QUEBEC
  • Aug 26 - HOLY FUCK + ELFIN SADDLE

Here are some great videos to amp yourself for shows next week:

Nice find! Sounds pretty good, but not quite at your caliber brockmaster! Listening gets me amped for the show next week!

I’m like 99.9% sure this was recorded by the cat who runs this blog http://bootlog.wordpress.com/. He’s a good guy, and gets a lot of good bootlegs out there. He’s fully aware that the quality on this one isn’t the greatest, but you should definitely give him props for getting us all this much anticipated show, irregardless of the quality.

Hey babymammal - thanks for making they knew who recorded it, particularly after I requested that it NOT be posted anywhere other than the message board, especially given that I haven’t been able to get my own post up on the show yet. But you know, that’s life on the internet.

I’ve stated upfront that there are some issues with the sound - its a bit rumbly at points - and a fair bit of crowd chatter. But it is the first, and as far as I know only, recording of a lot of the new material so until more of the tour happens this is the best we’ve got.

Hope you enjoy the music, folks.

rgsc, didn’t mean to steal your thunder, i had no clue you didn’t want your files hosted (as I found the link on a facebook group and not the messageboard where it was originally posted) anywhere else. i removed my link, and directed it to your blog.

    thanks for getting this!!!!!

Hey Brickmasterflex - thanks for changing the link. Following it back to the facebook link I see that it wasn’t you who put it up without attribution. I’m on vacation and didn’t have a chance to upload the full thing before I left to my server but did have the files to upload to a third party site for the forum people. I can see that the issue didn’t start with you so, no hard feelings. All the best and I’m looking forward to seeing if you can get the Sala Rosa stuff.
